Meet Dr. Tyler Steward

I grew up playing hockey and made the high school varsity team as a freshman. I sustained a few blows to the head that left me with unrelenting neck pain that later grew into dizziness and vertigo. General chiropractic care eliminated my neck pain, which formed a passion within me to become a chiropractor! Eventually I found Upper Cervical and Functional Neurology which helped control the post-concussion dizziness that I was still experiencing. I was amazed by how effective these two care methods were, so I chose to specialize in them.

Education, Certifications, and Training

Formal Education:

After completing High School at Eau Claire North, I went on to pursue a Bachelor degree in Biology from Life University, the largest and most prestigious chiropractic college located in Marietta, GA. I than continued on to complete my Doctor of Chiropractic from the same university. By completing both degrees at Life, I was able to submerse myself into the chiropractic science, art, and philosophy earlier than the typical student would.

Preceptorship:

I completed my preceptorship at Berner Upper Cervical Clinic in Marietta Georgia. I learned under Dr. Berner who is a board certified Orthospinologist and is on the board for the Society of Chiropractic Orthospinology. Having the ability to learn from a world-renowned Upper Cervical Chiropractor allowed me to learn the small details that separate the great providers from the extraordinary!

Vestibular Training:

I have completed post-doctoral education in Vestibular Rehabilitation from the Carrick Institute. This program is very rigorous, focusing on new rehabilitation techniques. Most vestibular training focuses solely on peripheral lesions; however, I have received training in central vestibular rehabilitation through my education with the Carrick Institute. Dr. Carrick, with the institute, was the Doctor who helped NHL star Sydney Crosby overcome his concussions and return to the ice after all other treatments failed.

Certifications:

I am certified in both the Orthospinology Upper Cervical Chiropractic Procedure and the Pierce Results Technique.
